Nancy Jenkins, LPC
Nancy is currently in a Counseling Psychology degree program. She received her Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix. Her twelve years of experience include Child Abuse Prevention, Parent Education, Marriage Enrichment, Family Therapy, Couples Therapy, Substance Abuse Education and Clinical work in residential treatment programs. Additionally, Nancy loves people of all races and persuasions. She has a vast amount of experience with group and individual treatment for court ordered sexual abuse perpetrators and substance abuse clients with co-occurring disorders. She has been trained in parent education curriculum and relationship enhancement curriculum with the Smart Marriages Initiative.
Kris Cottrell, CPCI
Kris is currently a Certified Professional Counselor Intern who has a big heart. Kris has a BS in Business Management with an emphasis in Marketing and his Masters in Counseling. He’s a teacher and counselor at a Utah based drug treatment center. Kris assists patients on a daily basis helping them to understand themselves and create positive change within. As an entrepreneur, he founded several business enterprises including international in-bound and out-bound call centers, EAP (employee assistance program which offers counseling assistance to employees) and True North Counseling, a face-to-face counseling service. Kris founded 877 Lean On US with a vision to assist the masses from the privacy of their own home through private professional counseling over the telephone for a fraction of the typical traditional therapy costs. Kris believes in people and is a big family guy. He is a husband and father of five children and a leader and counselor in his community.
Robert Simmons, PhD
Dr. Simmons has been an instructor at the University of Phoenix, Utah Campus, since it opened in 1984. He has taught multiple courses in undergraduate and graduate business, educational counseling, nursing and is currently Clinical for the UniversityCounselingCenter. He is also lead faculty and a member of the steering committee for that program.In addition, he has served at all levels of academic governance, including Senior Faculty, Utah Campus Academic Council, and ADC for Counseling and Business.He has received a distinguished faculty of the year award and has also contributed to the course modules for several courses. Sandy Area Camber of Commerce “Educator of the Year” award 2006. Instructor at ArgosyUniversity since 2008. He received his PhD at the University of Utah. Licensed Psychologist and Marriage and Family Counselor.

Rebecca Padberg, CPCI
Rebecca Padberg, originally from New
Hampshire, now lives in Eden,
Utah with her husband and one
year old son. In 2002, she received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from
the College of Charleston
in South Carolina,
where she was part of the Air Force Reserved Officer Training Corp. Following
graduation, she completed field training at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota, and was
then stationed for four years at Hill Air Force Base. During this time, she
served as a Squadron and Group Section Commander, as well as an Executive
Officer, and spent four months at the Baghdad International Airport, Iraq, as
an Executive Officer. After separating from the Air Force in 2006, she moved
with her husband to North Carolina where she worked first as a residential
counselor at a substance abuse treatment facility for pregnant women, and then
as an executive assistant to the Senior Vice President of Managed Care for the
University of North Carolina Hospitals. After leaving North
Carolina, Rebecca and her husband moved to California
for a short time to be with family and then moved back to Utah to pursue better job opportunities.
Rebecca has been working on her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling
since December 2006 and, following completion of a nine month practicum and
internship with True North Counseling Services, will graduate in December.
Aside from spending time with her husband and son, Rebecca enjoys reading and
creating artwork, along with many outdoor activities, including
skiing/snowboarding, golfing, hiking, biking, camping, rock climbing and
kayaking.
